Large cracks in the concrete:
This occurs from a shift in the surrounding structure causing the concrete to gradually tear apart or from concrete that evaporates too quickly during its drying phase.
Weird white mold on my concrete:
This is really not mold, but a deposit of salts and minerals that build up over time because of moisture escaping from the surface of the concrete. This can be readily taken care of by a thorough cleaning, but occasionally this can be a symptom of chloride contamination that may damage the integrity of the cement.
Little “bug holes” in the concrete:
Are there small holes around the surface of the concrete in a variety of sizes and shapes? This occurs when the concrete was not prepared properly leading to little air pockets during the pouring. MAS Concrete, LLC
can usually fix this problem by a very simple resurfacing of the region.
The concrete
is producing dust when touched:
There are numerous different causes for this to occur. The best way to repair this is by occasionally resurfacing the area. Based on the severity of the dusting, however, more often a silicate-based penetration liquid has to be applied. This liquid is absorbed into the concrete and crystallizes, solving all but the most acute situations.
